Obesity Medicine Certification

The Certification for Obesity Medicine Physicians Exam is administered through the American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM). The Society is a partnering organization of ABOM, and all ASBP continuing medical education (CME) counts toward ABOM Certification Examination Qualification Requirements. In addition to the ABOM Resources for Exam Preparation, applicants may want to consider the ASBP Certification Review Course, which is offered each spring and fall as preparation for the exam. The 2013 Certification Examination for Obesity Medicine Physicians will be administered Dec. 7-14 at computer-based testing centers throughout the country. The application deadline is Sept. 20, 2013.
